STORY TELLING

THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE

There was once a hare who was friends with a tortoise. One day, he challenged the tortoise to a race. Seeing how slow the tortoise was going, the hare thought he’ll win this easily. So he took a nap while the tortoise kept on going. When the hare woke up, he saw that the tortoise was already at the finish line. Much to his chagrin, the tortoise won the race while he was busy sleeping.

Moral : There are actually a couple of moral lessons we can learn from this story. The hare teaches that overconfidence can sometimes ruin you. While the tortoise teaches us about the power of perseverance. Even if all the odds are stacked against you, never give up. Sometimes life is not about who’s the fastest or the strongest, it’s about who is the most consistent.

SPECIAL INTRODUCTION

SIR CHANDRASEKHAR VENKATARAMAN

Indian Nobel Prize Winner 1930

[7 November 1888 - 21 November 1970]

Sir Chandrasekhar Venkataraman was a great scientist who brought India pride and honor with his works in the field of physics. He was the first Indian to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. CV Raman Ji is a very smart person. Compared to other children, he had completed his matriculation examination at a very young age.

Because he became a lecturer in mathematics and physics lecturers, initially there was a good environment around him, sir, because he could get good knowledge in the field of physics. His friends said that his thoughts were good to learn something good from childhood.

He is very different from others and at an early age, he loved to probe above subjects like light. Chandrasekhar Venkataram completed his elementary education at SMA St. He was a student with a very sharp intellect and at the age of just 11, he completed his matriculation. He completed an intermediary exam at the age of 13 and won a scholarship.

Their Interest :

CV Raman was very much interested in science, so he urged his father and applied for a financial examination. Raman passed the examination and in 1907 he joined the Indian Finance Department as a subsidiary of the Accountants General.

But even after this, his heart and mind were involved in his research, so he started doing research in the Indian Union on a freeway.

In 1917, he had the opportunity to join the University of Kolkata, where he also became the first Professor of Physics. CV Raman received many high salaries from universities for his government work but chose his own happiness because of his immense love for science.

Contribution to Science :

In 1919, he was used as the 'Honorary Secretary' of the Indian Union for the Cultivation of Science. In this post, CV Raman held the post till 1933.

In the late 1920s, Raman Ji did research on light scattering, where the behavior of transparent materials (transparent materials) was understood while studying a spectrograph. With the help of tests, he made a new discovery in the field of science., which was presented to him in 1928 at a meeting of scientists.

Still, that great research is known as the name of Raman's effect. He was strongly influenced by the blue glacier and wanted to solve the mystery of the blue water, currently known as the Raman Effect.

CV Raman's uncle was Subramaniam Chandrasekhar, who was also awarded the Nobel Prize in 1983 for honoring the Chandrasekhar limit discovery.

In 1907, he was married to Lokasundari Ammal and had two sons, Chandrasekhar Raman and Venkatanan Radhakrishnan.

In 1970, Sir Chandrasekhar Venkataraman (CV Raman) died at the age of 82.
