STORY TELLING
THE GOLDEN GOOSE
There lived a goose, special one as that, in a lake. It had beautiful golden feathers. Near the lake lived an old woman with her daughters. Even though they worked hard, they remained poor.
One day, the goose thought: Maybe I can give one golden feather every day so that these women can sell it and have enough money to live.
The next day, the goose went to the old woman. “I have nothing to give you!” said the old woman. “But, I have something for you!” said the goose and explained what she can do!
The old woman and her daughters went to the market to sell the golden feather. That day, they came back happy with enough money on hand.
Day after day, the goose continued to help the old woman and her daughters. The daughters loved to play with the bird and would take care of it on rainy and cold days!
As time went by, the old woman became more greedy! How can one feather help her? “When the goose comes by tomorrow, we should pluck all of its feathers!” she told her daughters. Aghast, they refused to help her with this.
The next day, the old woman waited for the goose to arrive. As soon as the bird arrived, it held by its next and began to pluck at its feathers.
As soon as she plucked them, the feathers turned white. The old woman wailed and let go of the goose.
“You have been greedy! When you plucked my golden feathers without my wish, they turned white!”
The angry goose flew away never to be seen again!
Moral : Too much greed leads to a lot of loss. It is good to not steal from others or wish for others out of selfishness.

SPECIAL INTRODUCTION
JAGMOHAN DALMIYA
(Indian cricket administrator)
[30 May 1940 - 20 September 2015]
Jagmohan Dalmiya was the man behind India’s growth as the super power on the cricketing map. The veteran administrator gave up his dreams of playing cricket during college days but returned to the game as the administrator, rose through the ranks and became the first Indian to be the ICC president.
A master of realpolitik and a genius with money, Jagmohan Dalmiya is the man most responsible for turning the gentleman's game into a global sport of big money and a reach well beyond its traditional bastions. Dalmiya was born into the Marwari business community of Kolkata, and cricket and money were equal passions for him.
He was a club-standard wicketkeeper, who once made a double-century. At 20 he took over his father's construction business, but it was in the business of cricket that he would make his name. He joined the BCCI in 1979, and was one of the young turks - Inderjit Singh Bindra was another - who helped win the right to stage the World Cup in India in 1987. That brought big money into the subcontinent, and Dalmiya and Bindra led the commercialisation of the game through the early '90s, making the BCCI the richest cricket board on the planet.
Personal ambition led to a rift between the two, and Dalmiya emerged better off - the man who hasn't lost an election in his life was elected chairman of the International Cricket Council in 1997. His commercial skills and flair for striking deals turned round the cash-strapped ICC's fortunes. But the Establishment hated Dalmiya's unconventional ways, and he was jettisoned after a TV-rights controversy in 2000.
Dalmiya was elected board president for a second term in March 2015. By this time, however, his health was poor and he suffered a heart attack on September 17. He died in hospital two days later at the age of 75.
